GIRLS BEDROOM FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES
Girls Bedroom Furniture, Giving Your Daughter the Bedroom That They Really Want
Before you start redecorating your daughter’s bedroom with new furniture, you need to remember that there are
several things that you need to consider before you even start buying the furniture. It is important to remember
that the bedroom you will be purchasing furniture for is not your bedroom. It is your daughter’s bedroom and
whether you like it or not, they should have a say on what kind of furniture that the bedroom should get.
First of all, you need to remember that the bedroom is a private place for the person who is sleeping in it. It
is a personal haven where no one is allowed to enter unless they have permission from the owner of the bedroom.
And, if you have teenage girls in your home, you really don’t want to try purchasing new furniture for their
bedroom without them knowing about it and also without their approval.
Whenever you are purchasing bedroom furniture for a girl’s bedroom, you have to consider the age, personality,
likes and dislikes, hobbies, favorite colors, and needs of the girl. If you are dealing with elementary school age
girls, then you will normally deal with pink colors, dolls, and lots of stuffed toys and stuffed animals.
For them, a twin bed is just the right size. You should get a bed frame that is suitable for their personality
and also what they like playing with. If you can, try getting a metal pink bed frame. The mattress can be anything
as long as it is comfortable for your daughter to sleep in. You can add a little more detail with the beddings by
purchasing a set that has prints of her favorite cartoon character or one that has butterfly prints or fairy
prints.
For storing her clothes, you need a dresser. You should also get a side table and lamp for reading whenever they
are in bed as well as a bookcase that will become her storage for all her reading materials. It can be in any
design but you should always remember that these things should be in white or pink accents. An example would be
pink drawer pulls and lamps. A nice accent rug by the side of the bed is also a great addition that will complete
the room.
For girls in middle school, it is very likely that you will need to deal with bunk beds. You have to remember
that at this age, girls will almost always have their friends spend the night with them. And, you need to keep in
mind that for them, it’s really a lot of fun sitting on the top bunk where they eat snacks and talk together. Aside
from the dresser, bookcase, and side table, she will also need a study desk. Middle school girls will have plenty
of homework. Also, although she may still like playing with dress up dolls, too much pink would be too much for
her. Try pastel colors for the walls, accent colors, and bed linens.
For teenage girls, this is where you will have a hard time choosing the right furniture for their bedroom. This
is the time where they will make their room as her sanctuary and she will never like it if you interfere with
anything inside her room. If you are planning on buying new bedroom furniture for your teenage girl’s bedroom, it
is often a good idea to bring her along. She should make all the decisions about what she wants in her bedroom.
Remember these things and you will be able to provide your daughter the bedroom that she really wants. Keep in
mind that it’s not entirely up to you to decide what kind of furniture that you should put in her room. In fact,
the kind of furniture that a girl’s bedroom should have is a decision that is better left for your daughter to
decide.
